New Smiles was founded by doctors Hwang and Pham. We are a multi-disciplinary dental group located in 2 different locations across Houston, Texas.

When we built our office together in 2012, we just believed that our goal was to bring the best practices to our clients. We also believe that throughout the course of our career, routine practice and continuing education provides continuous and never-ending improvement.

We provide a wide range of dental treatments, especially implants, crowns & bridges, using the latest technologies. We will work closely with you to ensure you receive high-quality dental care. Our treatment plans are created to best suit your needs.

Dr. Myoung Hwang, DDS, MS

Dr. Hwang was born and raised in Seoul, Korea where he served in the army until his early 20s. He then moved to Florida and obtained his Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering with a 4.0 and at the top of his class at the University of Florida with the achievement of Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Hwang then graduated from the prestigious University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Hwang has also obtained his Masters Degree in Advanced Surgical Extraction and Implantology from Unicamillus International Medical University in Rome, Italy. Dr. Hwang is enthusiastic and passionate about surgery and dental implants. He constantly takes continuing education courses both domestically at renowned institutions like Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and also internationally in Europe and South Korea to improve his surgery skills for his patients. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and children.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas – Austin, Dr. Pham pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. When Dr. Pham is not practicing dentistry, she is busy being a mom and loves spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Andrew Phan, DDS

Dr. Phan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas – Austin before pursuing a passion for dentistry and health care ultimately earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. His background in science and engineering has served as a great advantage to understanding the field of dentistry and allows him to provide optimal treatment for his patients. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Phan loves to spend time with friends and family.

Dr. Ann Phuong Nhi Pham, DDS

Dr. Pham is proud to be born and raised right here in Houston. She loves the food scene and the unmatched diversity of her hometown. Dr. Pham finished her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas – Austin before attending The University of Michigan School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Pham emphasizes kindness and honesty when it comes to her relationship with her patients and wants everyone to have a more comfortable and pleasant experience going to the dentist. In her free time, Dr. Pham loves to cook,  explore the city with her friends and family, and of course being dog mom to her pup, Porter.
